In the adult program, men & women ages 16 and older will learn the armed and unarmed techniques and fundamentals of the Kage No Michi Ninjutsu system. This eclectic program is a physically, mentally and emotionally intense course designed to help students realize their maximum potential as a martial artist and individual. In order to reach this goal, students receive extensive training in hand to hand combat, armed combat with both traditional and improvised weapons, all range full contact sparring, ground fighting and grappling in a dynamic environment. The adult program is designed to prepare the individual to defend themselves (or even another person) if the need should ever arise and be able to use whatever is at hand to achieve that objective in a variety of "street" situations. Both experienced martial artists and those who are just starting out on their martial journey are welcome.
The Adult Program is divided into Beginner and Advanced classes. In the Beginner class, students build simple and effective self defense skills by learning the essential techniques, movements, and principles of Kage No Michi Ninjutsu. Our goal in this class is to give students techniques that they can immediately apply should the need arise.
The Advanced class is designed to further enhance the skills of the student as well as give them advanced techniques that they can add to their self-defense arsenal. Students learn to handle more involved scenarios such as multiple attackers, armed assailants, or defending oneself without hurting an opponent. Advanced students also regularly attend Beginner Classes in order to maintain their basic skill set, work with and be examples for the Beginner students.
The training methods used to cultivate skillful martial artists in the Kage No Michi Ninjutsu system are unique in themselves. Most noteworthy is that students are not confined to memorizing solitary forms; instead, one can expect to safely practice their skills light to full-contact with instructors and other students to ensure proper and effective technique. Typical training methods include partner drills, target practice/focus mitts, dynamic self-defense scenarios, training weapon drills, sparring, and grappling. Additionally, our team of instructors is constantly developing new drills, scenarios, and even games in order to keep classes fresh and challenging day to day.
X-Factor Training Our X-Factor Training is a supplemental "application-based" class that takes the place of a designated sparring class. X-Factor Training Class takes a student's training to the next level by including full-contact, stand-up and ground fighting as well as specialty intensive combat drills. The main goal of the class is to cultivate the "fighting spirit" and heart of each individual. Read more about X-Factor Training here.
